What is the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)?
As a general rule we do not sell less than 25 pounds but will review in isolated cases.
What is the development cost for a new fragrance?
No cost is associated with developing a new fragrance, we deem that part of relationship building.
What is a lot number?
Our oils are generally made from scratch so the lot number is specific to the batch we make for your order.
What is a COA (Certificate of Analysis)?
A Certificate of Analysis is a report of a quantitative analysis of the fragrance oil versus the approved standard. Note all oils are matched (fingerprint) to the original approved standard (fingerprint) before shipping out. The Certificate of Analysis we provide will include the color, flash point, refractive index, lot number, manufacture date and test date.
Why is it important to know the application you are using the oil?
Depending on the type of product you are intending to use the fragrance we may have to alter some of the base, low-odor, components. In other words, an oil made for a lotion may not work in a candle or bar soap application.
What is an IFRA analysis?
As part of the Fragrance Creators Association we provide an IFRA certificate with all of our fragrances. The IFRA analysis reports the recognized percentage of fragrance allowed in the applicable base you are intending to use. Note this report does not quantify how the fragrance will react in your base, testing in the base is up to the customer unless we have agreed to initial testing.
Does Aroma Creations sell straight Essential Oils?
We do not sell straight essential oils, we focus on blends of essential oils and other fragrance components when developing fragrances.
Does Aroma Creations develop/sell natural fragrance oils?
Yes, we will develop and sell fragrances made with essential/natural components.
What is solvent based versus water based?
Solvent based means that the oil will disperse in an oil based product, water based means the oil will disperse in a water base type product. Our samples are generally solvent based but can be converted very easily to water base, with information on solubility needs from the customer.
How much does a fragrance cost?
This depends on multiple factors but as we work on projects let us know what targets you are looking for and we will do our best to work within these ranges.
