Alan Workman: National Sales Executive
Alan graduated from Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science, chemistry major with a political science minor and has worked in various roles including: human resources, distribution manager, purchasing and production planning, and director of operations. In his current role, inclusive of Aroma Creations, he oversees the planning and operations in the compounding area where all of our house brands and Aroma Creations products are produced. His hobbies include playing golf and reading. He has been happily married for 10 years, and is a father to two beautiful girls, Madison and Riley.
Rachel Brown: Product Development Chemist
Rachel graduated from Winthrop University in May of 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. Previously, she worked in Quality Control Laboratories for an assortment of chemical companies that specialized in substances from paint, polymer to pharmaceuticals. Currently, she works in the PD Laboratory for Grace Management Group where she develops new products and specializes in Fresh Scents sachets. Rachel is married and has one daughter, two dogs, two cats and one rabbit. Her goal is to own her own mini farm.
Ricardo Obando: R&D Lab Application Manager
Ricardo graduated from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia, in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He has a combined 20 years of experience in research, development and/or operations. He has held various roles in directing, creating, developing, and scaling up products. He currently works for Grace Management Group as the R&D Laboratory Application Manager and is responsible for the instrument and PD Lab. He also develops and supports multiple lines of products including long-term innovating technologies and troubleshooting. He has been married for 23 years and has two boys.
Emily Arce: Perfumer
Emily is a homegrown perfumer, who declared her interest in the industry at the age of 8. After studying chemistry at Wofford College, she joined Grace Management Group where she learned her trade under technical perfumer, Mike Licciardello. Emily approaches each composition from a part musician, part chemist perspective that is harmoniously expressive and structured. She enjoys the delight and surprise that comes from a memory shared across the fragrance medium. When she isn’t smelling, Emily enjoys podcasts, knitting, and yoga.
Stacey Petty: Fragrance Lab Coordinator
Stacey was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC, and studied biology at Wofford College before joining Grace Management Group. Her role has since grown to facilitate our fragrance development process, promoting organization and communication within our team. Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their two children, as well as a great community of family and friends.
Susie Smith: Analytical Chemist
Susie is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Science. Her career with Grace Management Group started in the Product Development Lab where she worked with polymer gels, bath products, candle development and testing- included color, UV stability, and burn testing. Susie later transitioned into her current position in the Instrumentation Lab. Daily tasks include Quality control of chemicals and fragrances using Gas Chromatography, as well as assisting both Fragrance Team and Product Development lab with new projects. Other instruments used for Quality Control and Development include DSC, GC/MS, Karl Fischer, and IR.
In her free time, Susie enjoys hiking waterfalls, reading, and singing with both her local church choir and theatre groups.
Annette Teal: Research and Product Development Specialist
Annette graduated from the University of South Carolina at Upstate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications / Journalism. With instinctually strong curiosities: keen observing, researching, and investigating have become her skills and super powers. For over 5 years, in the Grace Management Group PD Lab, Annette has been learning, training, and hands on experiencing Biology and Chemistry from her colleagues and then applying her new found knowledge. Her main focus is quality control, product stability, product development, and problem solving. Annette enjoys a great horror film from behind her pillow and the warm glow of a night light.
